Worth half a million dinars of Narcotics substance seized by Kuwait MOI
The Ministry of Interior on Monday, seized a large quantity of psychoactive substance, weighing about 12 kilograms, and its value is estimated at half a million Kuwaiti dinars.
The ministry, in a statement, explained that the General Administration for Narcotics Control, and in coordination with the Customs Search and Investigation Department, was able to seize two containers brought by a person from outside the country that contain a large quantity of substance that is hidden inside bags designated for fodder.
He was caught red-handed during the process of selling the contraband along with a quarter kilogram of narcotic chemical in his vehicle. The man was referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal action.
Meanwhile,Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Deputy Emir and Crown Prince, has called for national unity in tackling corruption, following the leak of videos he deemed were an “encroachment on people’s freedoms and privacy.
Kuwait’s royal family are not above the law where the fight against corruption is concerned.
