Volunteer investigated for beating an expatriate in Kuwait
Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior said that the volunteer who was caught on camera while beating an expatriate in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, has been referred to investigators.
Soon after detecting the video of the incident on the social media, the security services summoned the volunteer and referred him to the competent body that will take the necessary measures.
Kuwait government has locked down Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh in a bid to contain the spread of the virus and enable health workers to test inhabitants.
Lately, There has been an alarming spike in the number of positive COVID-19 cases, Kuwait so far has 7,623 active coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and 49 deaths.
Kuwait imposes a total curfew in the country starting today at 4 p.m till May 30 to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Information Ministry said on Twitter on Friday.
Once total curfew begins everyone is permitted to walk in their own residential area without the use of an vehicle from 4:30 to 6:30.
Kuwait Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah said that there will be a gradual opening keeping in view of precautionary measures after the period of a total lockdown.
