USA: Army bombed their own aviation in Syria before departing troops
The US armed troops destroyed their own airbase in the Al-Hasakah region in northeast Syria before leaving it and departing troops, Syrian media announced on Sunday.
The US blasted its army base with docking facilities for carrier aircraft in the Tal Baydar village close to the center of Tal Tamr, were fighting among the US-backed Kurdish troops and the Turkish army is underway, the Syrian Arab News Agency stated.
As per the article, the US troops are currently planning to drop another base in Al-Hasakah near the As-Sabheyeh dam.
On 7th October, the US published abolishing its troops from northeast Syria, two days before Turkey began its military operation in the region with the stated aim to clear it of rebels and Kurdish militia, which for Ankara are interchangeable. The White House announced at the time that it would not “support or be involved in” Turkey’s action.
A week succeeding, US Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that an extra 1,000 troops would be switched from the north part of Syria for the cause of the US soldiery to not end up caught between rival units.
