The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) issued manuals for COVID-19 booster shots, and all eligible individuals are urged to take the vaccine booster dose six months after taking their second dose.

The Health authorities said, “We stress the importance of social responsibility and the key role of members of the community to maintaining the achievements accomplished by the country during the crisis.”

The types of vaccines and their boosters’ compatibility:

Type of Vaccine — Pfizer-BioNTech

Booster Type — One booster dose of the same type of vaccine.

Booster Type— One booster dose of the same type of vaccine or another vaccine.

Individuals who took other types of vaccines can visit the nearest vaccination center to be advised on the booster type. The experts also said that period PCR testing has proven to be key means to combat the pandemic.

“We urge community members to receive information from official sources, to avoid rumors and false news,” Health Ministry said.
