The veteran actor and stepmother of Mahesh Babu: Vijaya Nirmala is not with us anymore.
The Skilled Telugu heroine and filmmaker G Vijaya Nirmala died at a private hospital here subsequent a hasty illness, hospital officials stated on Thursday. She sighed her last at Continental Hospital in Gachibowli where she continued undergoing therapy on Wednesday nighttime, they spoke. Vijaya Nirmala was 73.
Spouse of master actor Krishna and step-mother of popular Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, Vijaya Nirmala ji listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the female filmmaker with the most amount of films to her credit (44). Vijaya ji was born on February 20, 1946, in Tamil Nadu, she began her filmy career at the age of seven and performed in beyond 200 movies in Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
Vijaya ji directed films in Telugu and other languages too. Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao consoled the end of Vijaya Nirmala. “The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the members of the bereaved family. He remembered her services in the Telugu cine field,” an authoritative statement declared.
Telangana BJP leader K Laxman tweeted: “We are deeply saddened by the sudden demise of veteran actress and director Vijaya Nirmala garu. A huge loss to Telugu film industry. Condolences to her family & friends… Om Shanti.”
Superstar Junior NTR in his sympathy message told that she was a groundbreaking cinematographer. “Vijaya Nirmala Garu was a pioneering filmmaker whose life is an inspiration for many. Extremely saddened to hear the news. Extending my deepest condolences to her family,” he tweeted.
