South Korea: K-pop star Sulli found dead; fans accuse cyberbullying

A previous member of top South Korean girl group f(x), who had conversed out against cyberbullying, was found dead on Monday, police told.

The body of Choi Jin-ri, famously known by her stage name Sulli, 25, was found at her home in Seongnam, south of the capital, Seoul, policemen stated.

“Her manager visited her house after losing to reach her since their last call the night before,” policemen stated in a report.

Sulli, 25, was fighting with harsh depression, policemen told. They did not elaborate.

Sulli debuted with the five-member f(x) in 2009. It grew one of the most popular girl groups in South Korea and supported fuel the global K-pop rage.

Sulli split the group in 2015 an began a career as a solo musician and actress.

Most lately, she emerged on a television show in which K-pop stars explained their occurrences with malicious online remarks.
