Renew work permits six months before expiry
Employees in the private and oil sectors can now apply to renew their work permits six months before its expiration date, according to a new amendment published in this week’s issue of the national gazette ‘Kuwait Al-Youm.’ Several documents must be attached to the renewal document, including a valid passport, photocopy of the expiring work permit and civil ID, a copy of the work contract, a copy of the authorized signature and required payments. A work permit is issued for a maximum of three years, according to the law.
