Rekha’s bungalow sealed after security guard tests positive
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday sealed the bungalow of veteran Bollywood actress Rekha after a security guard tested positive for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Rekha’s bungalow, named ‘Sea Springs’, is situated in the bandstand area of Mumbai’s Bandra, and an official notice was seen stuck outside the building declaring it a containment zone.
According to reports, the bungalow normally has two security guards on duty. One of them has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The infected member of Rekha’s staff is currently undergoing treatment at a facility in Bandra Kurla Complex. BMC has also sanitised the entire area.
Rekha is the latest Bollywood celebrity whose staff has been affected by Covid-19. Earlier, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, and Boney and Janhvi Kapoor, have reported that members of their staff have been infected by the coronavirus.
An official statement from Rekha or her office is awaited in the matter.
The lockdown imposed in the wake of pandemic completely shut down film and TV industry for three months. Now, the entertainment industry is gradually getting back on sets with all the necessary precautions to contain the spread.
