The Redmi K20 is supposed to do what the Poco F1 did last year – deliver flagship class performance for the price of a budget smartphone. However, with the Redmi K20, Xiaomi is also looking to up the ante in terms of design and the overall smartphone experience, as evident from the official teasers and lots of leaks.
Speaking of leaks, the Redmi K20 launch event may not have anything new to reveal considering the specifications, renders and even the prices have been unearthed. Here’s a quick recap of all we know about the Redmi K20 phones so far.
Redmi K20 leaks: Specifications, prices and official renders
There will be two phones under the Redmi K series – a Redmi K20 and higher-end Redmi K20 Pro.
The Redmi K20 is rumored to come with the Snapdragon 730 chipset while the Redmi K20 Pro will get the Snapdragon 855 chipset. That’s the only difference that’s known between these two phones. There’s another variant of the Redmi K20 with a Snapdragon 855 that’s supposed to come to India.
The Redmi K20 phones will sport a 6.3-inch full screen AMOLED display with no notch and slim bezels. The display gets an in-display fingerprint sensor and the front camera sits on a mechanized pop-up module.
The triple rear camera is supposed to get a 48-megapixel camera as its primary camera while the front camera is known to get a 20-megapixel camera.
A 4000mAh battery will keep the Redmi K20 phones alive and there are chances that it could support latest version of fast charging.
The Redmi K20 base variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost 2299 Yuan (approximately Rs 23,000). The second variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage will cost 2499 Yuan (approximately Rs 25,000). The top-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will cost 2899 Yuan (approximately Rs 30,000). Note that this is probably the variant that will land up in India.
Apart from the Redmi K20, Xiaomi is also expected to unveil the RedmiBook, which is expected to be a Windows 10 ultrabook under the Redmi brand.
