Ministry of Health approved the first private laboratory to conduct PCR test for a fee of 40 KD as it is one of the prerequisites for travellers who wish to travel out of Kuwait through Kuwait International Airport.

Those who wish to obtain a PCR certificate before travelling out of Kuwait will have to go to these accredited laboratories to collect a blood sample one or two days before the date of travel. The PCR certificate is a requirement for some destinations countries.

According to Al Qabas Arabic daily, the Ministry of Health is moving towards accreditation of 3 to 5 laboratories and health centers spread over several locations in the country. The fees were fixed and approved to KD 40 to maintain the quality and efficiency of the service and not exploit the current situation.
