PACI – updates on working hours during curfew
The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) announced yesterday the working schedule to receive the public during the partial lockdown approved by the Cabinet beginning today from 5:00 pm until 5:00 am local time. PACI Director General Musaed Al-Asousi said work dates have been set to receive the public to record transactions that require personal attendance at the PACI headquarters and could not be completed through the website.
The Public Authority for Civil Information, in co-operation with the Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, has activated its website to issue temporary exit permits during the partial curfew hours. Those that can apply for a permit are people working in the supermarkets, pharmacies and maintenance and electric companies. The Ministry of Interior stated that those looking to submit a request will need to fill out an application for both the employees and the transportation vehicle.
The exit permits can be created for first aid, medical checkup, blood donation, taking a Covid-19 swab or getting vaccinated against Covid-19. The morning session, which is for Kuwaiti nationals will be from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm and after non session for expatriates will be form 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Also, the head of the educational committee, Dr. Hamad Al Matar, announced that according to a decision issued by the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Mohammed Al Faris, all exams for Kuwait university students will be held online. The new decision states that any professor that violates the new order will face penalties by the educational committee.
