PACI rejects speculation on registration paper instead of a legal identity card to travel overseas
The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has refused to allow travel documents to be granted rather than just civil IDs while traveling overseas.
The issuance of a travel certificate for ex-pats ‘ To whom it may concern ‘ is granted only on the basis of their request, which helps them to facilitate certain practices besides travel.
Reports have advised that the certificates provided by PACI contain the details of the applicant, the correct date of residency and other information contained in the civil card and are given during the current period due to the delay in issuing the cards, It can only be used as a personal proof and as proof of the validity of the residence, but it can not be used as a civil ID card at the airport and the rest of the ports.
