Oman explores vaccine imports from Russia and South Korea
Dr Ahmed Al Saeedi, Oman’s Minister of Health, received yesterday at his office Kim Chung Kyu, the South Korean ambassador and discussed ways to obtain supplies of Astra Zeneca vaccine from Korean manufacturing facilities to Oman.

The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Ministry of Health. The two sides also reviewed the developments of the epidemiological situation of the COVID-19 pandemic and the vaccines manufactured to combat the virus.
In another meeting today Dr Saeedi received Russian’s Ambassador to Oman, Dmitry Dugadkin, to review developments in Oman in the wake of COVID-19.
The Minister noted the existing efforts by some countries to manufacture vaccines against the virus, and the ways of cooperation in importing the vaccine.
