Mumbai local train dissuades near Mahim station, services get impacted
A Bandra confined suburban local wrecked near Mahim station on Harbour line on Wednesday morning. There are no records of any damage to the patrons, but the suburban services on the route have been discontinued.
“A coach of a Bandra bound local from CSMT derailed in Western Railway control while addressing Mahim station,” stated a senior Central Railway executive. The event occurred at approximately 11.30 pm.
As per the railway executives, the third coach from Bandra end has remained derailed and quickly they will start attempting to re-rail the carriage and restore the traffic on the route.
Western Railway informed that the local operation on Harbour line suspended till further announcement. “Suburban services between CSMT and Panvel are operational,” said the Central Railways official.
Harbour division of Central Railway gives suburban rail connectivity to Navi Mumbai, simultaneously with eastern and westernmost suburbs. A forearm of the Harbour line continues to Goregaon in Western areas. Western Railway administration on the route starts from nearby to Mahim.
