MOFA opens online booking for attestation of documents
Kuwait Foreign Ministry has declared people seeking to work out transactions and get papers accreditation at the consular department can do so with advance appointment booking on the ministry website.
This was declared today by the assistant foreign minister for consular affairs, the plenipotentiary minister, Sami Al-Hamad, in a statement.
Citizens and residents seeking attestation can do so by advance booking on the ministry website https://www.mofa.gov.kw/ for their physical attendance at the building.
Expatriates can book the appointment for any transaction including an attestation of birth certificate, academic certificate or any other services. Currently, the attestation service is only available at their main building at Shuwaikh.
Due to the current circumstances emanating from the coronavirus pandemic, this kind of work is restricted to the main building in Al-Shuwaikh.
According to MOFA Guidelines, the visitor must adhere to all health protocols, including wearing of face mask and maintaining social distancing.
Visitors are prohibited from entering inside any administration offices. Entry is prohibited for visitors to whose temperature measures 37.5’ Celsius or above. If a visitor arrives maximum 15 minutes late after his appointment, the appointment will be considered as cancelled.
The visitor should come to MOFA, with photocopies of the official documents required for his transaction, as the photocopying services at MOFA will be closed.
