More than 300 medical personnel needed in Kuwait

Dar Al Shifa Hospital, one of Kuwait’s biggest hospitals, is opening its doors to more Filipino medical workers such as female nurses. Some representatives from Kuwait’s Ministry of Health are currently here in the Philippines to conduct free interview screenings for those who are interested. For female nurses, the ideal candidate should be between 23 to 40 years old and has at least 2-6 month hospital work experience. “Usually, we hire Filipino nurses more than 10 years now… They are excellent nurses. Most Kuwaiti hospitals prefer to hire nurses from Philippines,” Dr. Shaya Hakeem, consultant from the Kuwait Ministry of Health, was quoted to have said. ADM International Manpower Services Company in Pasig City currently holds the free screening until March 30 for the job offers, reported ABS-CBN news. Around 200 Filipino medical personnel work at Dar Al Shifa Hospital, which is also the first private hospital in the Kuwait.

“We have around 1,400 staff, 20 percent of them are from Philippines. We have good experience with them and we have good support and positive cooperation from the Philippine embassy. So if you are willing to join Dar Al Shifa and be part of our big family, please join us,” Samah el-Assaad, deputy human resources manager from the medical institution noted.
