Maharashtra – curfew in the state starting tomorrow
Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray addressed the state via social media at 8.30 pm on the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the state and announced a list of strict lockdown-like curbs that will be in force from 8 pm tomorrow. CM said the state will go into janta curfew from 8 pm tomorrow, adding that only essential services will be allowed.
All places of worship,
-Schools and colleges,
-Private coaching classes,
-Barbershops, spas, salons and beauty parlous
-Cinema halls, theatres, auditoriums,
-Amusement parks, gyms, sports complexes,
-All shops, malls, shopping centres not performing essential services
These will remain closed from tomorrow till 7 am on May 1, the Maharashtra government said.
Local train and bus services for essential services only, petrol pumps, financial institutions associated with SEBI and construction work to continue, hotel/ restaurants to remain closed only take-away, home deliveries allowed.
As many as 60,212 fresh Covid-19 cases have been reported in the state today, Maharashtra CM said during his address.
