Kuwait’s Secretariat of Awqaf expends school fees of worth KD230,000 to over 1,000 students
The diplomat of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Fahad Al-Shula declared on Wednesday that the General Secretariat of Awqaf has spent KD 230,000 (about USD 690,000) school charges to 1,000 students before the completion of the last academic cycle.
Conversing to KUNA, Al-Shula announced that the General Secretariat of Awqaf, and from its belief of accountability towards the community, chose to pay all expenses for the destitute students to mitigate the monetary burden on their parents. He aimed out that this action came to initiate the Awqaf role in helping several sections of the community that are worthy of this type of support, adding that this support appears in agreement with the monetary and humanitarian help given by Kuwait and its people to those experiencing inside and outside of Kuwait.
He led out that this support involved students of diverse grades in association with Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Najat Charity Association and Kuwait International Charity and Development Association, which spent the value earmarked for this generous scheme. He emphasized that every General Secretariat of Awqaf conditioned that the three firms to execute this project should harmonize with the central agency approaching the state of unauthorized residents in this regard. He appreciated Kuwait’s pioneering position the humane work throughout the planet.
