Kuwaiti Govt: Introduces new charges for sick leaves and documents from MoH

The health ministry has executed a new fee system that incorporates a KD 2 fee for authentication of infected leaves published by the private sector. The latest charges are for assistance offered by the medical directorate to expats, including KD 20 for medical research for those implementing to work in the public and private divisions; KD 5 for medical review for those endeavoring disability aid and age calculation; KD 10 for “medically inappropriate”, “to whom it may involve” and relationship of weakness due to injury documents; and KD 5 to accept sick leaves issued by non-government experts inside or outside Kuwait.

The health department also required fees for approving ads – KD 50 for three months for allowing ads for health-related commodities and KD 100 for authorizing ads about businesses or health facilities. The bureau also required fees for interpretation at drug registration laboratories for drugs, health products, food additions, and medical stocks. Interpretation of a registered product will cost KD 15 and KD 50 for non-registered goods. The fee for reanalysis for the first time is KD 30 and KD 60 when the application is duplicated.

The bureau established a KD 30 fee for assigning import and export licenses for drugs and psychoactive drugs and KD 100 for dispensing licenses to trade in anesthetic or psychoactive medicines, in addition to KD 10 for the narcotic and psychoactive formula book for every 50 prescriptions and KD 5 for every 400 pages of the psychoactive medication register.

The bureau established fees to issue certificates and their interpretation – a “good conduct” ticket will cost KD 10 per certificate, in addition to KD 10 for a “to whom it may worry” document and KD 10 for turning the license into English. The charges included charges for medical services – permission to conduct one-day cryosurgery will be KD 200 per year, and its renewal will be for four years. Fees of KD 200 will be collected for issuing in-vitro fertilization trust and for hardening embryos.
