Kuwait to stop naming streets and use numbers instead
The Kuwait cabinet decided to stop naming the country’s streets and roads, with the exception of the names of the rulers of the State of Kuwait and the rulers of brotherly and friendly countries, and to go towards numbering all streets and roads.

According to local media report, the cabinet also called for reciprocity when naming the capitals of brotherly and friendly countries on the streets.
The Council of Ministers decided to assign the Minister of Municipality to take measures towards not naming any new streets and roads except with the names of the rulers, and to go towards their numbering.
Reports also added that the names of the existing streets and roads will not be changed and this is applicable for new streets and roads only.
