Kuwait: PCR test prices drops to KD 27
The Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved an additional number of private laboratories to conduct a PCR test after fulfilling the technical specifications of the accreditation standards.
The Ministry of Health has set 40 dinars as the ceiling for the highest price for conducting the examination for detecting the novel Coronavirus and to prevent any manipulation or exploitation of the current circumstance.
Some accredited laboratories announced that due to legitimate competition prices which ranged between 30 and 35 dinars had reached 27 dinars for certain groups according to specific conditions.
Those who wish to obtain a PCR certificate before travelling out of Kuwait will have to go to these accredited laboratories to collect a blood sample one or two days before the date of travel. The PCR certificate is a requirement for some destinations countries.
