Kuwait: Over 50,000 submitted vaccine certificates from abroad
The technical team at the Ministry of Health continues to check the vaccination certificates that were uploaded on the ministry’s website for those who received vaccinations from abroad.
According to reports, the number of certificates uploaded by people outside the country reached over 50,000 till last week. In that, around 12,000 certificates were audited by the technical team.
As per the cabinet decision, non-Kuwaitis are allowed to enter the country if they have completed the vaccination from their country with one of the MoH-approved vaccines.
The auditing of uploaded certificates includes examining the data in the certificate and verifying the authenticity of the certificate.
The audit process takes a longer time in some countries, including Arab and Asian countries, sources said quoting MoH sources. All certificates that do not meet the required data or that do not carry a barcode, or having suspicion of forgery are rejected by the authority, sources said.
