Kuwait: New airport terminal would be developed by 2022
The Ministry of Public Works (MPW) reported the completion of 26.9 percent of the Terminal 2 (T2) project at Kuwait International Airport.
It appeared in a statement made during a research visit by MPW Under-Secretary Ismael Al-Failakawi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Planning and Development Council Dr. Khaled Mahdi and other officials, at which there was a discussion on the success of the work on the development.
Mahdi clarified that the scheme represents a significant improvement of transportation and air freight as well as an important step in transforming Kuwait into a global economic center by drawing more tourists.
He has said that the development is planned to be finished by 2022 at an overall cost of KD 1.312 billion, including 75 percent of the eight challenges that the project had encountered.
