Kuwait National Petroleum Company Preparing Centers To Accommodate 7,000 Expats workers
Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) has started preparing three temporary centers, spread into various parts in the country, and dedicated to accommodate about 7,000 workers.
KNPC Deputy Chairman of Projects, Abdullah Al-Ajmi, told KUNA that the company’s initiative comes in response to cabinet’s directives and in the framework of contributions by the oil sector companies in supporting the state’s efforts to address the outbreak of coronavirus.
KNPC Deputy Chairman of Projects, Al-Ajmi added the company has received from the Ministry of Public Works the three sites designated for the establishment of these centers in each of Al-Ardiya, Al-Jahra, and South Al-Sabahiya areas.
These site are currently being equipped and provided with the basic facilities and services necessary to be able in the coming days to receive this large number of workers and provide suitable living conditions.
Al-Ajmi said the initiative comes from a humanitarian standpoint and reflects the company’s keenness to support the efforts of the government and its agencies to limit the spread of this coronavirus within the country.
