Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) employee tests positive for coronavirus infection

Kuwait National Petroleum Company confirmed that an Indian employee was tested and found positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

The Ministry of Health has undertaken the necessary measures with the Indian employee, transferred to the concerned person to the hospital for treatment.

The employee was working in the projects section of Al-Ahmadi Refinery in Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC).

While, 42 other employees were put under quarantine according to the health procedures.

Kuwait has imposed strict measure to curb the coronavirus outbreak, which include implementing an 11-hour nationwide curfew.

Kuwaiti authorities have repeatedly urged citizens to follow guidelines and instructions given by local entities and the World Health Organisation, such as maintaining social distancing and home quarantine measures.
