Kuwait: Liberation Tower open to public from Sunday, 6th Feb
The Liberation Tower will be open to the public starting from Sunday, February 6th, as part of Kuwait’s celebrations of national holidays. The entry will be open to all, free of cost, from the month of February until the 28th of this month.
The entry to the tower will be restricted through prior booking on the Liberation Tower website. The morning time from 9 am to 1 pm are reserved for school students and official bodies while the evening time from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm is open to all public.
The public will be able to view the 360-degree view from the 150th floor of the tower.
A Museum is arranged at the Tower with a hall containing some of the historical equipment of the Ministry of Communications that tell the history of the ministry over many decades.
Liberation Tower is one of the most important landmarks of the State of Kuwait. Its construction began in the year 1986, and work stopped during the invasion. After the invasion, it resumed in 1993, and its construction was completed in 1996.
The 372-meter-high tower was inaugurated by the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad in March 1996.
