Kuwait imposes curfew to battle coronavirus
Al-Saleh addressing a news conference after a cabinet meeting, said the curfew would be imposed from 5:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m.
Civil Defense Committee will issue IDs for persons working in vital sectors so they can move during the curfew.
Strict penalties for violators were announced, including up to three years’ imprisonment or a KD 10,000 fine.
He meanwhile said a public holiday due to end on March 26 would be extended for two weeks.
Total number of people infected in Kuwait with coronavirus is 176.
Coronavirus numbers worldwide more than 303,180 people have contracted the virus and at least 12,950 have died.
