Kuwait: DGCA Issues circular on opening direct flight with India

Directorate General of Civil Aviation DGCA today sent an official circular on restarting the direct flights with six countries including India. As per the circular, direct flight with Egypt, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be restarted for all those who are immunized outside Kuwait.

The circular stated the Re-operating commercial flights with India – Egypt – Bangladesh – Pakistan – Sri Lanka – Nepal with the adherence to the related special health regulations.

According to the circular, all passenger vaccinated outside the state of Kuwait must prove their vaccination by presenting vaccination certificate which includes the following:

• Name matching to travel passport.

• Type of vaccination received.

• Date of doses taken.

• Name of vaccine agency.

• Electronic Readable QR code. If no QR code is available, then vaccination certificate must be uploaded through Ministry of Health website for authentication.

The circular supersedes any previous circulars contradict the above, it says.

According to sources, the first direct flights from Egypt will arrive on Thursday early morning followed by two flights from India.
