Kuwait confirms first coronavirus death and 62 new Covid-19 cases, Total 479

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced Saturday the first death case of novel coronavirus. 

The sources said that the deceased was showing signs of little improvement, but took a sharp turn at a later time, and his health deteriorated, which led to his death.

62 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the country, which bring Kuwait to 479 confirmed cases of the coronavirus.

Earlier, Kuwaiti Minister of Health announced the recovery of 11 cases from the novel coronavirus, raising the country’s total recoveries to 93. 

Kuwait has imposed strict measures to curb the coronavirus outbreak, which include implementing an 11-hour nationwide curfew and halting all international flights.

Kuwaiti authorities have repeatedly urged citizens to follow guidelines and instructions given by local entities and the World Health Organisation, such as maintaining social distancing and home quarantine measures.

Coronavirus numbers worldwide more than 1,123,024 people have contracted the virus and 59,140 have died.
