Kuwait Cabinet approves repatriation plan of 50,000 citizens
Kuwait plans to repatriate 50,000 of its citizens on 188 flights between April 19-25.
The Cabinet, adopted a phased process to bring back Kuwaiti citizens abroad who have remained there amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
This plan will be carried out under the directives set by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and hopefully it will achieve its goal to bring citizens back home by the Holy Month of Ramadan.
The Prime Minister has affirmed that the jgovernment is addressing issues concerning 50,000 Kuwaiti citizens in various countries across the world.
He affirmed that more expatriates who breached residency law in Kuwait would fly back home, simultaneously with the flights bringing back the Kuwaitis from abroad.
Kuwait has confirmed 66 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking its overall count of infections to 1,300.
Meanwhile, A team of 15 Indian doctors and health care professionals in Kuwait to support Kuwaiti government’s fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
