Infections on the rise in Kuwait with 1048 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19)

Kuwait on Sunday, confirmed 1048 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in 24 hours, taking to 14,850 its infection tally, the Health Ministry said.

The Health Ministry also reported 5 more deaths from COVID-19, taking to 112 the total such fatalities in Kuwait.

242 for Kuwaiti citizens, 242 Indians, 238 Egyptians, 53 Bangladeshis, and all other cases of other nationalities

Health areas: 319 Farwaniyah, 288 Hawalli, 196 Ahmadi, 142 Capital and 103 Jahra

The Ministry of Interior arrested 14 persons who violated curfew on Saturday, 16th May. All 14 were Kuwaiti nationals.

#Kuwait Ministry of Health announced today, that 250 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) have recovered, bringing the total number of cases that recovered in the country to 4,093.

The laboratory and radiology tests and tests have proven that these cases have recovered from the virus. 

The Kuwait Municipality (Baladia) has set new timings for grocery stores work timings, according to the administrative decision.

The first 3 coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Kuwait were announced on Feb. 24, all of which had arrived from Iran which was witnessing an explosion of cases at the time.

Kuwait has imposed a total curfew in the country till May 30 to help curb the spread of the coronavirus. During the total curfew everyone is permitted to walk in their own residential area without the use of an vehicle from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.
