India: IMD announces massive rainfall warning for Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh
The IMD on Wednesday announced that remote regions over East Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh are expected to undergo substantial rainfall in following 24-hours.
In its All India Weather Warning communiqué, the climate forecasting bureau also figured that areas such as Odisha, Marathawada, Coastal, and South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe are also anticipated to observe substantial rain today.
Thunderstorm followed by lightning is quite possible at remote regions over Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha. Robust breezes reaching 45-55 kmph speed, are quite expected to command over southwest Arabian Sea and the southwestern Bay of Bengal.
The association has warned fishermen not to venture into these regions for the following few days.
