India cancels 10-day mandatory quarantine for vaccinated U.K. nationals
India has withdrawn mandatory quarantine for fully vaccinated U.K. nationals arriving in the country. Under the revised rules, which were announced on Wednesday, British citizens no longer have to undergo 10 days of quarantine.
The move for U.K. passengers was in reciprocation to U.K.’s discrimination against Covishield and the Indian vaccine certificate. India had earlier warned that countries that will not recognise India’s vaccines will face similar action in India.
All the passengers arriving from United Kingdom must carry a negative RT-PCR Test report for which test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey. The same also shall be uploaded on the online Air Suvidha portal.
