India: 3.4-magnitude earthquake hits Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal; No casualties reported
With less than 15 hours, the second earthquake rocked the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh on Friday.
The 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit at 10.46 am, informed Manmohan Singh, Director of the Shimla Meteorological Center.
The epicentre of the temblor also was felt in surrounding areas at a level of detail of five kilometres northeast of Lahaul and Spiti, he replied, adding minor tremors.
A 3.7-magnitude quake hit Lahaul-Spiti at 7.38 p.m. on Thursday. There was no confirmed loss of life or estate.
Many regions of Himachal Pradesh fall into a high seismic zone and mild quakes in the country are a permanent feature.
