In South Korea; Typhoon Mitag hits several parts of the nation, six people passed away
Six individuals were annihilated when hurricane Mitag crossed through the nation on Thursday, South Korea’s ministry announced.
Mitag, the 18th typhoon this year, began with massive rains in southern sections of the nation. As of 0130 GMT, the toll was six dead and four wounded, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated.
Some of the six were beneath collapsed buildings and others sank, it stated.
More than 100 homes and other private buildings were inundated, with more than 1,500 relocating their homes in progress in the southeast precincts, the ministry announced.
Some 44,045 apartments and structures had lost energy between Wednesday and Thursday, of which 83% have recovered electricity, Korea Electric Power Corp announced on Thursday.
