IMD anticipates: Massive rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Bihar

The IMD on Saturday stated that remote regions over Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Gujarat are expected to experience massive rainfall today.

The climate forecast bureau further declared that states over Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal and Sikkim are also expected to receive substantial flood throughout the day.

“Heavy to very heavy rainfall with remarkably heavy falls very likely at remote places over Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, and Meghalaya,” said IMD in its All India Weather Warning Bulletin.

Thunder followed by thunderbolt is very possible to happen at remote places over Madhya Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, and Odisha.

The stormy climate is likely to predominate across Gujarat seashore and adjoining northeast Arabian Sea and the East Indian Ocean and annexing the southwestern Bay of Bengal.

Heavy winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, is likely to predominate over north Bay of Bengal. The institution has warned fishermen not to experiment into these fields for a subsequent couple of dates.
