Hollywood Entertainer John Cusack shares his sympathy with the demonstration against Jamia Milia Islamia learners ‘tortured by PM Modi’
As when the demonstrations of the Jamia Milia Islamia persisted and took a destructive turn, ever more people were talking about it. Together with many Indian celebrities opposing the crime, the voice of outrage has entered Hollywood. American star John Cusack took Instagram when he spoke about the Jamia Milia Islamia demonstrations against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
Citing Arundhati Roy, John Cusack wrote, “Three years ago, we stayed dutifully outside the banks when monetization was placed on us, a move that broke the back of our country’s economy. Today, the National Registry of Citizens has merged with the Citizenshill. Amendment Bill is supposed to break the foundation of our Constitution and sever the earth behind our knees. Were we going to just sit in line again, obligingly, to comply with this regime that eerily parallels the Nuremberg Regulations of the Third Reich of 1935? If we do that, India will stop existing.
We’ve been meeting the toughest challenge before freedom. Stand up, guy. Oh, oh. “Stand alongside our Muslim brothers and sisters and learners in unison to be brutally raped by Modi”

Beyond John, multiple Bollywood personalities, including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao, Sidharth Malhotra, Vicky Kaushal, among others, called for a nonviolent march.
