First batch of Indian domestic worker to arrive in Kuwait
Chairman of Kuwait Union of Domestic Labor Offices (KUDLO) Khaled Al-Dakhnan announced that the first batch of Indian domestic workers will arrive in Kuwait within 10 days, reports Al-Rai daily.
In a statement to the daily, Al-Dakhnan pointed out this came after the operations of domestic labor offices were suspended for one year and a half.

He admitted it will take time for these offices to fully provide domestic workers to the local labor market – around one year or more due to the challenges they are facing in light of the spread of coronavirus. He added the Indian domestic workers did not face obstacles other than the suspended operations of recruitment offices.
Regarding the Filipino domestic workers, Al-Dakhnan pointed out the repatriation of about 280 Filipino domestic workers one week ago is a positive indicator in the process of resolving pending issues in the file of recruiting workers from the Philippines.
He said the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) exerted tremendous efforts to address the employment problems of Filipino workers, indicating the trip back home of the abovementioned Filipino workers was made possible in cooperation with the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait.
