Expats involved in visas selling along with Kuwaitis
Several Kuwaitis and their representatives in connection with the visa trade and trafficking in humans have been arrested in the past 24 hours.
At least 60 expatriates of various nationalities, most of them either brokers, mediators or representatives of companies are responsible for visa trading and flooding the country with menial workers have been taken into custody.
Kuwait Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh formed a team aimed at eliminating human traffickers who were importing large numbers of expats and leaving them unattended.
The team is headed by Minister Al-Saleh and consists of senior officials from the Public Authority of Manpower, Interior Ministry, Ministry of Justice, Fatwa and Legal Advice department and general investigation department.
