Ex-US president Jimmy Carter hospitalised after falling at his home in Georgia
Past President Jimmy Carter had another breakdown at his house in Plains, Georgia, fracturing his pelvis and moving to the hospital for medication and observation, a spokeswoman stated on Tuesday.
Carter Center representative Deanne Congileo explained the fracture as minor. Her report stated that the 95-year-old was in good spirits at the Phoebe Sumter Medical Center subsequent falling on Monday evening and that he was seeing forward to healing at home.
This is the third time Mr. Carter has befallen in recent months. He initially fell in the spring and required ham replacement surgery. Carter befell again this month and notwithstanding receiving 14 stitches, progressed the next day to Nashville, Tennessee to rally volunteers and further develop a Habitat for Humanity home.
Carter is the oldest alive former president in U.S. history. He and 92-year-old Rosalynn lately became the longest-married first couple, exceeding George and Barbara Bush, with more than 73 years of mating.
