While there’s no right or wrong way to make a smoothie, here’s a few tips to for making a healthy, well-rounded smoothie.
- Choose a liquid base – Filtered water, coconut water or milk. With dairy or dairy-free works as well!
- Use frozen fruits – For creamy and dense smoothies, you will need to use frozen fruits. You can chop up the fruits and freeze it overnight, or you can use store-bought fruits too!
- Consider adding healthy fats – Healthy fats help you absorb water soluble vitamins and nutrients. All you need to do is add a spoonful of chia seeds, flax seeds or a couple slices of avocado.
Superfood Smoothie

- 1 Banana
- 1 cup frozen cranberries
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
- 1/2 cup greek yogurt (non-fat)
- 1 cup ice
In a blender, combine all ingredients. Blend until smooth.
Green Smoothie

- 1 Banana
- 1 Kiwi
- 1 cup Pineapple, frozen
- 2 cups Spinach
- 1 tablespoons chia seeds
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup ice

- 1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries and blackberries)
- 1/2 cup greek/plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds

- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 avocado
- 2 cups low carb milk
- 1 cup ice
