Earthquake in Afghanistan shivers Hindu Kush territory
An aftershock measuring 5.9 on the Richter Scale unnerved the Hindu Kush province of Afghanistan on Thursday morning, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced.
The earthquake happened at 6:15 am (IST) and its epicenter was discovered 17 kilometers east of Farkhar in Afghanistan.
The intensity of the quake has resided at 222.1 kilometers.
There was no quick news of accidents or destruction to property as a result of the shock.
This is the other time a shock has happened today.
Earlier, a 5.8 magnitude earthquake jolted off the northeastern shoreline of Taiwan at approximately 5:30 am (local time). The epicenter has resided 16 kilometers south-east of Su’ao downtown.
The earthquake punched 10 km below the ground’s surface, as per to USGS.
As stated by reports, the earthquakes were strong enough to wave structures in capital Taipei, waking people up from their nap.
No mishaps or destruction to the property has been notified so far.
