Due to massive rains in J&K, 5 people drown in separate events
Five people comprising three minors sank in divide incidents in Udhampur and Rajouri areas of Jammu and Kashmir, police stated on Saturday.
Preeti (4) and Jyoti (5), basically from Rajasthan, existed in a slum clump along the banks of Dhirma stream in Udhampur and sank on Friday as the water level in the river had increased due to massive tempests, a police administrator stated.
Forces are on to unearth the bodies of the girls, who were operating outside their hutment, they answered.
In another episode in the area, a local guy– Rohit Kumar (11) sank in the Garnai stream while dipping on Friday. His body was fished out and handed over to his relatives, they responded.
In the third occurrence, two women recognized as Sonia (25) and Manju (30), hailing from Rajasthan, sank due to flooding of Manowar river near Jhulla bridge in Rajouri area on Friday.
The ladies, who were residing in huts on the shores of the stream, were washing utensils when they were worn away by the heavy current, a police officer told.
