DGCA- KD 10 deduction as service charge for refunding ticket

The General Administration of Civil Aviation allowed travel and tourism agencies and offices to deduct KD 10 as service fees for each ticket they are refunding due to the closure of Kuwait Airport due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In a earlier circular, the administration obligated all airlines, travel and tourism agencies operating in Kuwait to adopt policies to return the tickets amount, hotel reservations and other tourism services for customers whose trips were canceled during the period from March 14 to July 31, either return customers dues by paying back, postpone booking in future without any deduction during or give credit without deduction before September 30.

As per the new circular, it was stipulated that a service fee of only KD 10 can be deducted for each travel ticket as fees and other tourism services for the period indicated.
