COVID-19: Legal Action Against Former Kuwait Governor For Breaking Full Lockdown Rules
The criminal security department has been assigned to take legal measures against a former Kuwait governor, who visited another person in his Diwaniya(reception area) violating the decisions of the Cabinet and health authorities concerning the full lockdown imposed across the country, Kuwait Ministry of Interior said on Friday.
With the recommendation of the health authorities in Kuwait, the Council of Ministers enacted a full lockdown in Kuwait, until May 30 to help curb the spread of the coronavirus.
People in Kuwait have been told to follow full lockdown restrictions and abide by the health authority instructions.
The governor’s visit was posted on social media.
The department said that the law applies to all citizens and residents without exception or discrimination.

Kuwait on Friday, confirmed 885 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, taking to 12,860 its infection tally, the Health Ministry said.
