
COVID-19: Kuwait records 300 new cases, total rises to 3740
Kuwait City: Kuwait recorded 300 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3740 the Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday.
1 new death was reported of a 57 year old Filipino resident, bringing the total fatalities up to 24.
Earlier, Kuwait announced the recovery of 213 people from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total to 1,389.
The number of daily confirmed cases in the country has not peaked in Kuwait yet, and will continue to rise, according to data collected by John Hopkins University.

Meanwhile, Kuwait government on Monday decided to extend partial curfew for 16 hours during Ramadan and the national holiday up until May 28, while assigning the ministries of interior and information to name and shame those violating home quarantine and curfew.
Globally, there have been more than 3.1 million confirmed cases of coronavirus, including more than 217,212 deaths.
