COVID-19: Kuwait announces 1065 new coronavirus cases, 9 Deaths
Kuwait on Sunday confirmed 1065 new coronavirus cases, taking to 8,688 its infection tally, the Health Ministry said.
The ministry also reported 9 more deaths from COVID-19, bringing to 58 the total such fatalities in Kuwait.
The ministry also said 107 more patients have recovered from COVID-19, raising to 2,729 the total recoveries in the country.
Kuwait imposes a total curfew in the country starting today at 4 p.m till May 30 to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, the Information Ministry said on Twitter on Friday.
Once total curfew begins everyone is permitted to walk in their own residential area without the use of an vehicle from 4:30 to 6:30.
Kuwait Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Sabah said that there will be a gradual opening keeping in view of precautionary measures after the period of a total lockdown.
