COVID 19 Kuwait: 526 new cases recorded, Highest Daily Toll Yet
Kuwait reported its highest daily number of cases, with 526 cases detected in 24 hours, the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday. This brings the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country to 5,804.
The newly diagnosed cases include a total of 520 patients who were either in touch with previously infected people or being investigated for sources of infection.
90 people are currently receiving care in several intensive care units (ICUs) in Kuwait’s facilities.
Earlier today, Health Minister Dr. Basel Al-Sabah announced the recovery of 85 patients, bringing the total to 2032 recoveries.
The number of daily confirmed cases in the country has not peaked in Kuwait yet, and will continue to rise, according to data collected by John Hopkins University.
Strict Preventive Measures
A nationwide 16-hour curfew was imposed, but the number of daily reported cases are on the rise in Kuwait.
Kuwait has imposed several strict measures to curb the coronavirus pandemic, including halting all international flights and suspending schools and universities until August.
