Coronavirus: Kuwait records 152 new cases, total rises to 3440
Kuwait City: Kuwait recorded 152 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3440 the Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday.
1 new death was reported, bringing the total fatalities up to 23.
Earlier, Kuwait’s Health Minister announced, the recovery of 164 people from the coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the tally to 1,176.
The number of daily confirmed cases in the country has not peaked in Kuwait yet, and will continue to rise, according to data collected by John Hopkins University.
Kuwait will continue repatriation of its citizens stranded overseas because of the coronavirus pandemic with the fourth phase of evacuations scheduled on April 29 until May 6.
Strict Preventive Measures
A nationwide 16-hour curfew was imposed, but the number of daily reported cases are on the rise in Kuwait.
