Chennai water emergency: Students conduct havan to get benediction from the Lord Indra
As Tamil Nadu fighting with a severe water emergency, above 500 students on Wednesday associated in a ‘Varuna yagna’ at an academy in Chennai.
The havan was conducted at Bal Lok School in Virugambakkam to gratify the rain god Varun deva and get his blessings in the kind of rainfall.
Here comes after the ruling AIADMK offered yagna in temples over the state on Saturday, while the opponent DMK stepped ’empty pot’ protests, urging the administration to take some actions to approach the issue.
Superior AIADMK leader and fisheries diplomat D Jayakumar, who became a part in a yagna at Chennai’s Shiva temple and potted saplings in its propositions, answered the pooja was “a declaration of faith”, believing that lord will fulfill their prayers for rains.
Sellur K Raju-Cooperation Minister took part in specific prayers in Meenakshi and Subramania Swamy temples at Madurai.
He stated Chief Minister K Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam have requested the 50 district party members to continue prayers in temples for downpours.
“Even as they tasked us to continue pujas, rain showers have begun in Chennai and Madurai too will get showers,” Raju stated, figuring divine potential has helped.
Chennai has been suffering an intense water emergency and individuals from all avenues of life have been suffering the brunt of the testified inadequate management and outlining of the state administration.
From past few days, Chennai has continued seeing detached rainfall in certain regions.
